Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 2 July 2026

Our commitment

Ondyne is designed to be a calm, private space that everyone can use. We take accessibility seriously and continue to improve the experience so that people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or magnification can move through the app without friction.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the UK Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations and the European Accessibility Act (EN 301 549).

What we've built in

  • Semantic HTML and ARIA labels on interactive components.
  • Keyboard equivalents for our custom controls — the Emotional Compass, Identity Map nodes, and the Companion input can all be operated without a mouse.
  • Visible focus states on every interactive element.
  • Colour contrast that meets AA against our warm-cream and ink palette.
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion — decorative animations are muted.
  • Screen-reader announcements for live regions (Companion replies, save states).
  • Alternative pathways for the same task — for example, journalling by keyboard or by voice.

Known limitations

Ondyne is a small, evolving product. We know of the following areas where accessibility is still improving:

  • Some visual illustrations (the Constellation sketch, the Compass) have text equivalents but are not yet fully explorable via screen reader.
  • PDF exports are generated for readability and are not guaranteed to be fully tagged for assistive technology. If you need an accessible alternative, email us and we'll send one.
  • Third-party components — Stripe checkout, embedded audio — inherit their providers' accessibility, which we do not control directly.

Assistive alternatives

If any part of Ondyne blocks you from doing what you came to do, we'll help you complete it another way — including a plain-text version of a reflection, an audio read-through, or human assistance over email.

Get in touch

We treat accessibility feedback as a priority. If something is hard to use, please tell us and we'll respond within 5 working days.

Email hello@joinondyne.com with the page you were on, the browser and assistive technology you were using, and what happened.

Enforcement

If you contact us and are not satisfied with our response, users in the UK can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service. Users in the EU can raise a complaint with the relevant national body for the European Accessibility Act.
